Emcee Singapore - The OTH Prosperity Run, held on 9th February 2025 (Sunday) at the Level 5 Jogging Track, was a vibrant celebration of health, family, and culture. Organized by Our Tampines Hub, part of the People’s Association, this fun and non-competitive run brought together individuals and families for a morning of festive activities. The event aimed to celebrate the Lunar New Year festivities with friends and family while reminding everyone to stay fit and active in the coming year. Emcee Ivan played a pivotal role in energizing the crowd and ensuring the event ran smoothly.
The day kicked off with the Individual Category at 8:00 AM, where 200 participants gathered to run, jog, or walk three rounds (approximately 2.4km) on the jogging track. The emcee engaged the crowd with lively banter and led a warm-up session to prepare everyone for the run. The highlight of the flag-off was the appearance of the God of Fortune (GOF) mascots, who cheered on participants and posed for photos.
As participants completed each round, they collected a “gold coin” from the event crew stationed at the start point. After completing three rounds, participants exchanged their three gold coins for a participating medal, a goodie bag (containing a shoe bag, snacks, water, and a CNY plushie), and a sense of accomplishment. The emcee Singapore kept the atmosphere lively throughout, encouraging participants and celebrating their efforts.
Following the Individual Category, the Parent & Child Category commenced at 9:00 AM, with 100 families participating. Each team consisted of one parent or grandparent and a child aged 7 to 12 years old. The emcee welcomed the families with enthusiasm, leading a warm-up session tailored for both adults and children. The GOF mascots returned to flag off this category, adding a festive touch to the event.
Families completed three rounds together, collecting gold coins along the way. Upon finishing, they exchanged six gold coins for a participating plaque, a goodie bag, and a limited edition CNY Lego set, making the experience memorable for both parents and children. The emcee’s cheerful commentary and interactions with the families created a heartwarming and inclusive atmosphere.
The event concluded successfully, with participants leaving with smiles, souvenirs, and a sense of community. The emcee Singapore’s dynamic presence and the festive elements, including the GOF mascots and gold coin system, made the OTH Prosperity Run a standout event that celebrated health, family, and cultural traditions. Organized by Our Tampines Hub, this non-competitive run was a perfect way to usher in the new year with joy, prosperity, and a commitment to staying active.
