Emcee Singapore - The Tampines Tree Planting Event and the Launch of the Tampines 5-Year Master Plan, held on 22nd February 2025 at Tampines Boulevard Park (Blk 633), was a meaningful and celebratory occasion for the Tampines community. Hosted by Emcee Ivan, the event brought together residents, grassroots leaders, and Members of Parliament (MPs) to commemorate 60 years of nation-building (SG60) and to unveil the future vision for Tampines.
The day began with guest arrivals where residents registered for the tree planting activity and collected their wristbands and goodie bags. The emcee Singapore warmly welcomed everyone, highlighting the significance of planting 60 trees to symbolize growth and unity. He also introduced the Tampines 5-Year Master Plan, encouraging residents to stay informed about the exciting developments ahead.
Once the MPs for Tampines GRC arrived, including Mr. Masagos Zulkifli, Dr. Koh Poh Koon, Mr. Desmond Choo, Mr. Baey Yam Keng, and Dr. Charlene Chen. The emcee Singapore introduced them to the crowd, and the tree planting ceremony commenced. Residents, MPs, and grassroots leaders planted Pink Mempat trees, native to Singapore, symbolizing the community’s commitment to sustainability and growth. The emcee guided the participants through the planting process, ensuring a memorable and photo-worthy experience.
After the tree planting, the event moved to the community space at Blk 633, where residents enjoyed carnival booths, eco-friendly products, and family-friendly activities. The emcee Singapore kept the energy high, encouraging everyone to explore the festivities. The program continued with performances by PCF Sparkletots children, who delighted the audience with songs and rhymes centered around the theme of tree planting. The emcee facilitated a group photo session with the MPs and the young performers, creating a heartwarming moment for all.
The highlight of the event was the launch of the Tampines 5-Year Master Plan, themed “Building Our Tampines Home Together, Now and Always.” The emcee Singapore introduced a video presentation showcasing the future developments in Tampines, followed by a detailed presentation by Mr. Terence Chua from LG Architects and Associates. The presentation highlighted how residents’ feedback and aspirations shaped the plan, emphasizing inclusivity, sustainability, and connectivity.
Mr. Masagos Zulkifli delivered a speech, sharing the exciting plans for Tampines and expressing gratitude to the community for their contributions. The emcee then led the official launch ceremony, where the MPs and residents activated the launch mechanism, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter for Tampines.
The event concluded with the MPs viewing the exhibition panels, which detailed the key initiatives of the Master Plan, including liveable spaces, transport connectivity, green initiatives, healthcare improvements, and multi-generational play spaces. The emcee Singapore provided a summary of each section, ensuring residents understood the vision for their community.
