Emcee Singapore - Carnalah The Brazilian Carnival 2024 at the River House. It was filled with the wonderful kids and families. The Brazilian Carnival, known locally as "Carnaval," is an annual festival that is celebrated with grandeur and enthusiasm throughout Brazil. It is one of the most famous and anticipated events in the country, drawing millions of participants and spectators from around the world. Today they celebrated here in Singapore. Carnival has its roots in ancient pagan festivals and Christian traditions. The festival was originally a celebration before the period of Lent, a time of fasting and penance in the Christian calendar. Portuguese settlers brought the tradition to Brazil in the 17th century, and over time, it merged with African and indigenous cultures, resulting in the vibrant and unique celebration seen today.
