Emcee Singapore - Residents of Yishun attended a Saturday durian party held at the basketball court near Blk 109 Yishun Ring Road on 13 July, 10:30am. The party started with the emcee doing a durian quiz. Questions such as origin and benefits of durian were asked for residents to stand a chance to win durian desserts such as cakes and puffs. The mood was immediately hyped up. The residents finally got to enjoy the durian feast. They were served one of the popular durian variants sold in Singapore which is Mao Shan Wang. Shortly after, the emcee announced the arrival of Grassroots Advisor Mr. K Shanmugam who is also Singapore's Minster of Home Affairs and Law. Residents were thrilled to see him and took pictures with him. To get the party even more exciting, there was another round of quiz to give out more durian desserts. Some residents were seen even standing up and waving at the emcee to be picked to answer the quiz. The durian party ended with the residents receiving coconut water and a box of Mao Shan Wang to enjoy with their family at home.
