Emcee Singapore - The Thekchen Choling CNY Appreciation Lunch, held on 13th February 2025 at Chui Huay Lim, was a heartfelt celebration of gratitude, unity, and festivity. The event brought together 70 guests, including 20 monks and nuns, for an afternoon of blessings, appreciation, and joyous activities. Led by Emcee Ivan, the event was a beautiful blend of tradition, camaraderie, and celebration.
The lunch began with the arrival of guests, followed by the grand entrance of VIPs, including Jhado Rinpoche, Singha Rinpoche, and Geshe Tashi. The emcee warmly welcomed the esteemed guests, setting a respectful and festive tone for the event. Geshe Jigme led a solemn food offering prayer, creating a moment of reflection and gratitude.
The highlight of the event—the Lo Hei ceremony—took place as the emcee Singapore guided the guests through the prosperity toss, encouraging everyone to shout auspicious phrases like “Huat Ah!” as they tossed the Yu Sheng. The ceremony symbolized good fortune and unity, bringing smiles and laughter to all attendees.
A video showcasing memorable moments from 2024 was played, highlighting the achievements and milestones of Thekchen Choling. This was followed by a speech by CEO Ms. Emmeline Ang, who expressed gratitude to the community for their unwavering support. Ms. Joanne Hau, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, delivered a heartfelt speech on behalf of the board, acknowledging the collective efforts that contributed to the organization’s success.
The first round of the lucky draw took place for the 20th to 11th winners. The excitement continued with a series of interactive games, including Human Treasure Hunt, Table Photo Game, and Sing Off, where participants won exciting prizes. Additionally, five groups were awarded for the Best Dress, adding a festive and competitive spirit to the event.
The second round of the lucky draw was conducted by Jhado Rinpoche, Singha Rinpoche, and Geshe Tashi, who drew the 10th to 1st prizes. The top three lucky draw prizes included an iPhone 16 Pro with 256GB storage, an iPhone 16 Plus with 256GB storage, and an iPad Air with 256GB storage.
The event reached a touching moment as guests gathered to sing “Happy Birthday” to Singha Rinpoche, followed by a heartfelt speech from him. The celebration concluded with a Yum Seng toast led by the Board of Directors and Committee, expressing gratitude to sponsors, volunteers, and staff for their contributions.
The Thekchen Choling CNY Appreciation Lunch was a resounding success, thanks to the emcee Singapore’s engaging hosting, the meaningful traditions, and the strong sense of community fostered throughout the event. It was a memorable celebration of gratitude, unity, and festivity, leaving attendees with a sense of fulfillment and joy.
